Bhopal: Frequent flyers who have been running an online campaign for better air connectivity from Bhopal will organise a walkathon on February 3 to demand air connectivity with cities like Pune, Kolkata and even Dubai.
About the walkathon, founder of Support Bhopal for Better Air Connectivity (SFBAC) Prachi Baluapuri said the objective is to create awareness among people. “We have got two new airlines which will start operating from Bhopal from first week of January. However,
this is not enough. There is still space for connecting Bhopal with more cities by air,” said Prachi.
Asked the reason for organising walkathon instead of running the campaign online, Prachi said, “Our online campaign will be continue. The walkathon is aimed at involving more citizens from Bhopal. We have crossed 60,000 members online. Still there are people who need to be associated with the group. This will help us raise our issue in a more powerful way,” said Prachi.
