New Delhi: An Air India aircraft was damaged today after "foreign objects", most likely loose concrete from the runway, hit its body while take off from the Triupati airport in Andhra Pradesh.
The damage did not result in any accident and the flight was grounded at the Hyderabad airport.
No injuries to the passengers or the crew have been reported so far.
The flight has been identified as Air India 541. It took from Tirupati around 3 pm today.
Photos of the damaged aircraft show that holes were formed in the aircraft's wings and some damage was also caused to its belly.
