Executive lounge at Pune airport soon

Pune: The executive lounge under construction at the city airport is likely to be ready by this month. Flyers, though, will have to pay a certain amount for using the facility, the authorities said, adding that the number of seats would be limited.
“A Delhi-based company is involved in the construction. We expect it to be ready by this month following which it will be opened. It is likely to accommodate between 18 and 20 people. No decision has been taken on the fee that the user needs to pay,” an official told TOI.
The lounge will come up near the SpiceJet counter on the ground floor of the terminal building. “Flyers using the facility will be served snacks, non-alcoholic drinks, among others. There are many flyers who complain about the absence of an executive lounge at the airport which witnesses a large number of passengers daily. There was a request from airlines as well as privileged flyers for setting up the facility,” the official said.
