Online flyers disappointed as govt takes all credit

Bhopal: With few days left for airlines including SpiceJet and IndiGo to start operations from the Raja Bhoj airport in Bhopal, state government’s recent tweet attributing the win to government’s efforts has not gone well with the city flyers running an online campaign for better air connectivity.
Madhya Pradesh government handle Jansampark MP tweeted ‘Madhya Pradesh shashan ke prayaso se ab Mumbai se Bhopal aur Bhopal se Mumbai kee seedhee udaan 11 January se. Paryatan ko milega badhawa (With MP government’s efforts new flight will be starting operations from Bhopal to Mumbai and vice-versa from January 11. This will encourage tourism)’.

Flyers said that state government should atleast give credit to the campaigners as well the airlines for starting new flights from Bhopal’s Raja Bhoj airport.

Replying to the tweet, Sebastian Thomas, a frequent flyer running the campaign, wrote “The bane of Indian officers. They have no original ideas. They plagiarised “Support Bhopal for Airconnectivity” group’s efforts! Sir think original, do original @fly bhopal #bhopalforairconnectivity@thusharkulkarni appreciate their efforts too.”
Another flyer Satish Agrawal tweeted, “If govt effort brought Bhopal-Mumbai flight then why not bring flight to other cities too. Government must now make efforts for Pune and Kolkata. Instead of reducing VAT making unnecessary claims.”
And the thread did not stop here as several others continued criticising government for taking all the credit without any efforts.
