Chittoor: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu gave nod for establishing another airport at Madanapalle, said Industries Minister N Amaranatha Reddy after releasing ‘vision action plan’ document at the Collectorate here on Monday.
The proposed airport at Madanapalle will be third one in the district as international airport is functioning in Tirupati and process began for setting up an airport at Kuppam, the constituency represented by the Chief Minister.
Addressing the media, the Minister mentioned that the district is suitable for establishing industries because of its geographical boundaries. He appreciated the district officials including Collector P S Pradyumna to secure first place in the country for effective implementation of social welfare schemes. Swimming pools would be constructed at Palamaner, Nagari, Madanapalle, Puttur and Punganur, he stated.
