Chennai: SpiceJet on Thursday announced launch of eight new direct flights and additional frequencies starting March 1, connecting metros and non-metros on domestic routes.
The new flights are Kochi-Tirupati, Vijayawada-Tirupati and additional frequency on Kochi-Chennai and Vijaywada-Bengaluru route.
The airline has also announced an introductory promotional fare starting at Rs 3,334 on Kochi-Tirupati and Rs 3,342 on Tirupati-Kochi routes. The promotional fare starts at Rs 2,556 on Vijayawada-Tirupati and Rs 2,608 on Tirupati-Vijayawada routes.
Flights on all the routes will be operational daily except Tuesdays. SpiceJet will deploy its Bombardier Q400s on these routes.
Shilpa Bhatia, chief sales and revenue officer, SpiceJet, said, “We are pleased to announce the launch of our new flights which will help augment air-connectivity and increase movement in South India. We believe that there is a tremendous potential in these regions and hence better connectivity will facilitate trade and industry development besides providing enhanced travel options and convenience.”
