B 737 row: SpiceJet cancels 3 flights from Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The impact of SpiceJet’s move to ground its entire fleet of B 737 Max aircraft, keeping with the instruction of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), was felt on three sectors connecting Hyderabad, on Wednesday. According to the schedule, flights to Bengaluru (SG 567), Ahmedabad (SG 512) and Mumbai (SG 468) were cancelled for the day and its passengers compensated for the inconvenience.
“A majority of passengers affected as a result of these cancellations have been accommodated by SpiceJet on alternate flights. Additionally, the airline is also offering passengers the option of a full refund, changing the flight or date of travel, or even change of destination (to nearest alternate airport); all this without any cancellation charges or any fare difference,” spokesperson of the carrier said in a statement.
