Mangaluru: Customs officers on Saturday seized foreign origin gold weighing 1532.110gm, valued at 49.18 lakh from three passengers at Mangaluru International Airport.
The accused who had arrived from Dubai by Air India Express flight IX814 had concealed the gold in their rectum.
Officials recovered 535.610gm gold, worth Rs 17.19 lakh, 505.040gm (worth Rs 16.21 lakh), 491.460gm (worth Rs 15, 77,587) from the passengers.
