Finally, Bareilly airport building inaugurated

Bareilly: A few hours before Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora announced the dates for the general elections, state civil aviation minister Nand Gopal Nandi and Union minister Santosh Gangwar inaugurated the newly constructed building of Bareilly airport here. During the ceremony, Union civil aviation minister Suresh Prabhu also addressed the gathering over teleconferencing.
State minister Nandi said, “Previous governments, whether they were of the SP or BSP, were only interested in preparing over-budgeted detailed project reports so the relatives and friends of their ministers could bag a major share of the tenders. They never completed any project on time. But in our government, we complete the projects and that too before the deadlines.”

Gangwar said that it was a historical moment for the citizens of Bareilly. “With air connectivity from Bareilly, not only the city but the entire region will progress in all sectors,” he said.
State civil aviation minister Nandi said that over the past two years 25 new airports had been built across the nation of which nine were set up in Uttar Pradesh.
