Job scamsters dupe Matunga youth of Rs 1.30 lakh

A 28-year-old Matunga resident has filed a complaint of cheating after being duped by a gang who gave him a fake job opportunity and conned him to the tune of Rs 1.30 lakh. The victim identified as Yogesh Rathod had alleged that after he created his job profile on Quikr.com, four men approached him and offered a job at Indigo airlines but in the name of fees, they cheated him without returning the said amount.

According to the Matunga police, Rathod created his profile in December last year and on February 2019, one of the accused who introduced himself as Ashish called him and told that his resume has been shortlisted for the job of a ticketing executive at Indigo airlines at Pune but to get the selection process started, he needs to pay some amount.
