3 kg gold seized at Shamshabad airport

Hyderabad: The customs officials seized three kilograms gold from a passenger at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad on Monday. According to officials, the passenger identified as Chowtipalli Suresh arrived by a flight from Singapore. He concealed the gold biscuits in a specially tailored cloth and wore it as an undergarment. A few gold biscuits were hidden in his shoes as well. The officials suspected him due to his weird walking style and on enquiry seized the gold from him. By registering a case, officials took up investigation.
