Partial closure of lounges, transit hotels at Bengaluru airport for renovations

Mumbai: Passengers boarding flights from Bengaluru (BLR) airport will have only partial access to lounges and transit hotels.
BLR Airport currently has four lounges — two at International Security Hold Area (SHA) and two at Domestic SHA. "The refurbishment project would be executed in two phases spanning 18-20 months. Starting June 1, 2019, parts of the domestic & international lounges and transit hotel would be closed. The new lounge operator – a JV between Gate Group and Travel & Food Service (TFS), India – will take over operations," said a statement issued by the airport

The entire conceptualisation, design and development of the new lounges are being done by BIAL to elevate the overall lounge experience for passengers, it said adding that once renovations are complete, the lounges will provide customers with amenities including live cooking, celebrity chef-curated menus, digital zones, library, spa, barista bar and wine cellar – to name a few.
