Ahmedabad-Delhi Air India flight suffers bird hit, passengers create ruckus at airpor

Around 100 people escaped a major accident at Ahmedabad airport as Air India flight faced a bird hit on Saturday morning.
The incident took place at around 7.10 am when flight number AI-018 took off for Delhi. After the pilot noticed some noise and other technical issues, it asked for the priority landing back to the airport.
The flight landed just 15 minutes after takeoff. Following the incident, many passengers missed their important meetings in Delhi while some also missed the international connecting flights from Delhi. Though, passengers created ruckus at the airport as no responsible officials attended them in the initial time after they were deplaned. As per the sources, the flight's engine got damaged and needed to be repaired. Sidharth Mehta, a businessman who had a flight for China from Delhi missed his flight. Mehta had to fight with the airline to get his flight rescheduled.
"It is unfortunate that such a busy airport gets the bird hit. This is carelessness of airport authority which had put our lives in danger. After deplaning us, no responsible person from the airline came to attend us. We were clueless on what to do ahead. We could have been shifted in other flights of Delhi but no option was given to us. After much fight, AI had given us the ticket for the second day. AI need to have professional approach like other private airlines."
Hardik Shah, another passenger told Mirror, "Ground staff service of AI was pathetic. We had to fight for five hours to have any option after the cancellation of the flight. They kept on telling me that you leave for hotel or home after giving us phone number and mail id, we will let you know what to do. I missed my international flight from Delhi.
