Dimapur: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Monday met Union Minister for Civil Aviation Hardeep S Puri to discuss issues related to the establishment of an airport at Chiethu in Kohima.
Rio, in a tweet, described the outcome of the meeting as positive.
Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation minister tweeted about the meeting.
“Today, in a break from convention, I discussed and resolved issues related to aviation access and infrastructure in NE states and UTs through VC (video conferencing) with senior officials,” Puri wrote on his official twitter handle.
He was glad that the Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio and the Chief Minister of Mizoram, Zoramthanga could join him at the at the Ministry of Civil Aviation in New Delhi for the meeting.
