DRI officials seize 11 kgs of smuggled gold at Kannur Int'l Airport, four held

Kannur: Officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) seized around eleven kilograms of smuggled gold worth about Rs 4 crore from four passengers who arrived at Kannur International Airport on Monday.
According to sources, the officials seized the contraband gold in the form of biscuits and in molten form and arrested the passengers with the assistance of Customs personnel's.
The passengers arrived here from Dubai, Sharjah and Riyadh by GoAir and Air India Express flights, sources added.
