Taxi driver thrashes IGI parking staff

New Delhi: There was ruckus at Indira Gandhi International airport when a kaali-peeli taxi driver started to thrash a customer service associate posted at the airport parking service. The latter had asked him to stay in the queue designated for kaali-peelis when he rammed a barricade after entering the lane for other private cars. A case has been registered.
The driver pulled out an iron rod and started beating the official with it. He chased the man for almost 100 metres until authorities had to be alerted and he was taken into custody.
According to a senior police officer, the complainant said that he works at Delhi Airport Parking Service (DAPS) as the CSA. He said that he was on duty from 7pm to 7am. At 2am, a driver named Raj Kumar forcefully entered the line for commercial vehicles rather than staying in the line for kaali-peelis, he said.
He further hit the barricades in front and then started to escape as the complainant tried to chase him down. While he was chasing him, Kumar pulled out an iron rod from the rear seat of his car.
