Airlines in India have issued Independence Day travel advisory so that passengers can tackle the existing heavy security measures at airports across the country. Multiple airlines companies in India have issued travel advisories asking passengers to reach the airport three hours in advance for domestic flights, and four hours in advance for international flights.
The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) had recently asked all airports to tighten security after Section 370 of the Indian constitution was scrapped recently.
An official statement by Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi read, “Attention Flyers: Due to enhanced security arrangements, flyers are requested to reach Delhi Airport minimum three hours in advance for all domestic flights and four hours in advance for all international flights.”
