Mangaluru, Aug 19: The CISF officials at Mangaluru International Airport have detained a man on Monday, who was trying to smuggle 10,000 US dollars illegally to Dubai.
The man is identified as Sashank Baisani Gupta, a resident of Bengaluru.
On Monday, August 19, Sashank arrived to Mangaluru International Airport to travel to Dubai by SpiceJet SG – 59, scheduled to leave at 10 am.
While the CISF officials frisked him, they found that he possessed US currency and he had not declared the same. They found 51 notes of face value of US $ 100 in his pocket. He had hidden another bundle of notes in his handbag. The officials seized the currency as well as detained Gupta.
