The government needs to take a leaf out of global experience, where most airports are in public hands. Privatisation will only lead to AAI losing critical financial resources and assets for short-term gains to the Treasury.
The question that arises is whether the construction/development of an airport can be done under the same principles as those meant for the real estate sector. It cannot.
