Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (retd) Dr BD Mishra on Monday stressed on the need to implement the ambitious Greenfield Airport project at Hollongi, near here, within the stipulated timeframe without any wastage of time.
Chairing the first session of the second day two-day NEC plenary at Guwahati, the Governor said that the ongoing airport project at Hollongi, which is to be completed by March 2022, must be implemented within the given timeframe and there should be no slippage.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of the ambitious project on February 9 this year.
The Governor also highlighted the acute problem of telecommunication, including mobile and internet connectivity along with road, air and rail communication in Arunachal Pradesh in the session, a Raj Bhawan communique informed here.
