11 additional flights to operate from Patna airport during winter

Patna: Jayaprakash Narayan International (JPNI) Airport-Patna on Friday released its winter schedule, which will come into effect from October 27 and end in March. Eleven additional flights will operate from the airport during winter, taking the total number of flights to 57. These 57 flights will cover 12 destinations across the country.
“The directorate general of civil aviation (DGCA) has approved the winter flight schedule for Patna airport,” said an airport official.

Santosh Kumar, assistant general manager (air traffic management) at Patna airport, said the actual flight operations would vary, depending on the requirements of airlines. “There are some new flights of new airlines for various new routes, including Amritsar and Nagpur. It depends on the airlines to start operations on allotted slots. It is not the final list,” Kumar told this newspaper on Friday.

The 11 additional flights include four of IndiGo, three of Air India, two of SpiceJet and two of Vistara. In fact, Vistara will launch its two flights between Delhi and Patna on November 3.
