Vijayawada: Air India resumed flight services from Tirupati to New Delhi via Vijayawada on Sunday.
Indigo, too, has launched services from New Delhi to Tirupati via Hyderabad.
Tirupati airport director S Suresh handed over boarding basses to first passengers of both flights.
Suresh said passenger footfall at the airport was around 2,000 a day. The airport caters to 16 flights with 32 services. Talks are on with several airlines to increase air connectivity to prominent cities across the country.
