Hindon-Pithoragarh flight operations suspended till Tuesday due to 'technical snag'

Ghaziabad: The Pithoragarh-bound Heritage Aviation flight from Hindon terminal was cancelled on Monday due to technical snag. The airline had commenced commercial run on the said route only on Friday amidst a lot of fanfare.

While Heritage Aviation has termed it a 'minor glitch', the flight operations have been cancelled for Tuesday as well. Heritage Aviation's CEO Rohit Mathur in a written statement said, "There was a minor glitch in the evening today (Monday) after landing. We have cancelled flights for today and tomorrow (Tuesday). The issue will be rectified and all passengers will get a full refund."


AAI's Hindon Airport director Shobha Bhardwaj had said: "The Heritage Airlines flight to Pithoragarh had to be cancelled due to technical snag".

A passenger JS Raipa said that after about five hours they were informed that there were some problems with the landing gear due to which the flight had to be cancelled.

"The flight from Pithoragarh had landed quite late at Hindon terminal and the same flight was supposed to leave for Pithoragarh but at the last moment, we were told that the flight was cancelled," said JS Raipa who had come from Jhansi to board a flight to Pithoragarh from Hindon terminal. "We were told by the airline staffers after about five hours that due to problem with the landing gear the flight was cancelled and maintenance engineer is on way," added Raipa.

The nine-seater plane was scheduled to arrive at Hindon terminal at 12.30pm and thee same plane was supposed to leave for Pithoragarh at 1pm.
