Spicejet flight from Delhi gets warm welcome in Aurangabad

Aurangabad: A Spicejet flight (SG 8901) carrying 74 passengers from Delhi was welcomed with the traditional water salute when it landed at the Aurangabad Airport at 7.56am on Tuesday.
Aurangabad Airport director D G Salve inaugurated the Delhi-Aurangabad (SG 8902) flight by lighting a lamp before it took off with 117 passengers at 8.30 for its destination.
“By the end of the year, Aurangabad Airport will facilitate eight to nine flights. From October 16, Air India will operate an additional flight to Mumbai. Spicejet has also planned a Mumbai-bound flight.” Salve said.
The airport director said that Indigo has also said that it would begin operations from December and that the route is yet to be decided. “We are also expecting air connectivity to Bengaluru by year end,” he added.
