At Pune airport, students and passengers take CVC oath on ‘transparent governance’

Pune: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has organised a Vigilance Awareness Week at Pune airport with the special theme ‘Honesty: A lifestyle’. As many as seven schools, including Kendriya Vidyalaya at Lohegaon and Vishrantwadi, took part in the event.

The week started on October 28 under the direction of Ajay Kumar, airport director, AAI Pune. Various programmes were organised during the week. More than 5,000 people took the pledge for “transparent governance”, including 368 passengers, and others, who signed an online integrity pledge, available on the website of the Central Vigilance Commission.

Apart from 4,600 students and teachers of seven schools who took the pledge, an essay competition was organised by Pune airport, and the employees of AAI also organised a drama Nirash Na Ho.

A lecture of Dr Balkrishna Pandurang Puranik (Retd) was held to upgrade personnel working of the officials at Pune airport. Shakuntala Hemraj, Art College, made the week a success by putting their best efforts and pictures on the theme of the vigilance awareness.
