Star Air will provide the first scheduled service at Kalaburagi, when it launches a 3x weekly service from Bangalore Int'l on November 24, subject to gaining regulatory approval.
The Indian city, which is also known as Gulbarga, is around 308 nautical miles (570 kilometres) north of Bengaluru, and also in Karnataka State. The Indian regional carrier will use its fleet of three E145s (one of which is currently on maintenance) on the domestic sector.
Flights will leave Bengaluru at 1230L before arriving at its destination at 1335L. After a brief 20-minute turnaround, the 49-seater will depart Kalaburagi at 1355L and touch down in the Karnataka State capital at 1455L.
