'Udaan-RCS' direct flight between Ahmedabad and Kandla, becomes 228th route

Alliance Air, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Air India, has duly launched its first direct flight between Ahmedabad and the port city of Kandla. Apart from this, it has become the 228th route through the 'Udaan-RCS' scheme. Kandla is the 55th destination of Alliance Air through the 'Udaan-RCS' scheme. This flight will be operated from Monday to Friday. With the launch of flight services, now the passengers of Kandla will be able to travel to Nashik and Hyderabad via Ahmedabad, which can reduce their travel time significantly.
This is the third flight to be operated from Kandla Airport. Currently, Spicejet and Trujet operate daily flights to Mumbai and Ahmedabad. Not only this, it has now made better connectivity to Kutch's commercial center Gandhidham and the country's main port Deendayal Port. A significant increase of 242 percent has been registered in air traffic on RCS (Regional Connectivity Scheme) routes through the 'Udaan' scheme.
With this, on the one hand, the overall aviation network has become even more robust and wide, on the other hand, the common man is now getting services based on market-based normal fares. Alliance Air is now operating its services on 50 routes allotted to it under the 'Udaan-RCS' scheme. Not only this, but Alliance Air has also started its two-way operations on the Chandigarh-Dharamshala route from November 16, 2019, which was allotted to it under 'Udaan 2 and Udaan 3.1' of UDAN-RCS route through this scheme.
