1.3 kg gold recovered from 2 Mumbai-bound passengers at Guwahati airport

Guwahati: The Central Industrial Security Force (CSF) recovered concealed gold bars weighing around 1.3 kg worth Rs 53 lakh from two passengers at Guwahati airport on Tuesday evening. The CISF personnel had apprehended the two passengers.

The passengers were trying to carry the gold to Mumbai, Maharashtra.

According to the reports, during security checking, the CISF personnel recovered two pieces of gold bar weighing 650 gram from body cavity of a passenger named Nitin Sahu travelling to Mumbai at around 3.55 pm on Tuesday at the airport.

The CISF personnel apprehended one more passenger identified as Amit Mehra who also was travelling in the same flight by scrutinising CCTV footage.

The CISF personnel recovered two pieces of gold bar weighing 650 grams from the passenger's body cavity.
