Surat: There is good news for tens of thousands of Odia people residing in the Diamond City. Air India has started direct flights from Surat to Bhubaneshwar and Bengaluru from Monday.
Air India’s inaugural Airbus from Bhubaneshwar to Surat was accorded water cannon salute at Surat airport in the morning. About 124 passengers from Bhubaneshwar arrived in the inaugural flight, which later left for Bengaluru with 150 passengers from Surat.
Sources said on Monday and Thursday, the flight will depart from Bengaluru at 6.10am to reach Bhubaneshwar at 8.10am, from Bhubaneshwar it will depart at 8.40am to reach Surat at 10.40am, from Surat it will depart at 11.10am to reach Bengaluru at 1.10pm. It will depart Bhubaneshwar for Surat at 10.40am.
On Friday and Sunday, the flight will depart from Bengaluru at 6.10am to reach Surat at 8am, from Surat it will depart at 8.30am to reach Bhubaneshwar at 10.30am, from Bhubaneshwar it will depart at 11.10am to reach Bengaluru at 13.10pm.
