Indore: In major relief to passengers, who have booked Air India Dubai-Indore flight between February 1 and April 30, the airline announced to reinstate the flight after cancelling it two days ago.
“The flight AI -904 has been reinstated at the same timing as it was operating earlier and affected passengers will now be moving on the same flight without any change,” said an official with the airline.
The airline operates the flight thrice a week. The flight departs from Dubai at 8:10pm and lands at Indore at 12.45am. On January 17, the airline had announced to suspend the flight from February 1 to April 30 for construction of taxi-way near the runway.
Airport authority had proposed to carry out the development work during night hours between 11pm and 5am from February 1 to April 30, 2020. Air India was asked to re-schedule its flight as its scheduled arrival timing was coinciding with the schedule planned for construction of the taxi-way to provide a path for aircraft at the airport connecting runway with 15 parking bays. Thereafter, the airline announced to cancel its Dubai-Indore flight.
However, on Monday, after communicating with the airline as well as travel agents, airport authority on Monday agreed to halt the proposed development work to pave way for arrival of the airline as per its scheduled timing.
