Jaipur airport to offer free healthcare to passengers

Jaipur: With the number of flights operating from Jaipur constantly increasing, the Airports Authority of India has signed an MoU with a private hospital to provide free healthcare to passengers in need of treatment.
The hospital will provide round-the-clock medical services with the help of two doctors, nursing staff and emergency care services at the Mahatma Gandhi Hospital Medical Inspection Centre inaugurated on Thursday. District collector Joga Ram, Jaipur airport director J S Balhara, founder chairperson, Mahatma Gandhi Hospital Dr M L Swarankar, were present on the occasion.
Joga Ram said that the number of international flights and passengers has increased over the years. Medical Centre is an essential requirement to handle any kind of emergency. Dr Swarankar said that advanced life support ambulance will also be available to handle first-aid and complex emergency cases. In case of critical care related cases, patients can be shifted to the hospital.
