Vadodara airport judged cleanest, safest

Vadodara: Vadodara airport has been judged as country’s cleanest and safest airport in the category of airports having annual passenger handling capacity of 1.5 million.
London-based World Record and Quality Certification Limited has bestowed the quality certificate to Vadodara airport. The certificate was handed over to Vadodara airport director Charan Singh in presence of Vadodara MP Ranjan Bhatt during 71st Republic Day celebrations organised at the new integrated terminal building of the Airports Authority of India on Sunday.

“For three consecutive years, we have been judged as the cleanest and safest airport in this category,” said Singh, adding that a team had conducted audit of the airport after which the airport was selected for the quality certification.

The airport currently witnesses 26 flight movements and handles nearly 3,000 passengers with flight connectivity to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
