Patna airport: Four more flights included in revised winter schedule

Patna: The number of flights operating from Jayaprakash Narayan International Airport, Patna is set to touch 49 with addition of four new flights on different routes, including Chandigarh, Bagdogra, Delhi and Hyderabad, from February and March.
The new flights have been added under revised winter schedule approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and released by Patna airport on Wednesday. The new schedule came into effect from February 1 and will remain effective till April- end.

Budget-carrier IndiGo will start first-ever flight on Patna-Chandigarh and Patna-Bagdogra routes from March 5.

The Chandigarh-Patna-Bagdogra flight 6E-6148 will arrive at Patna airport at 8am and depart for Bagdogra at 8.30am. The Bagdogra-Patna-Chandigarh flight (6E-6149) will land at Patna airport at 11.35am and depart for Chandigarh at 12.05pm.

IndiGo will also commence two more flights to Delhi and Hyderabad, respectively, from February 16 under the revised winter schedule. The number of Delhi-bound flight of IndiGo from Patna airport will increase to eight.

Patna airport presently handles 45 daily scheduled flights, out of which 21 are Delhi-bound, seven Kolkata-bound, five Mumbai- bound, four Bengaluru-bound, three Hyderabad-bound, two each Ranchi and Lucknow-bound and one each Amritsar and Ahmedabad-bound.
