SpiceJet crew quarantined after flying passenger suspected of coronavirus from Bangkok to Delhi

New Delhi: A person on board a SpiceJet flight from Bangkok to Delhi on Thursday was suspected of suffering from coronavirus, sparking infection fears. The passenger was quarantined on arrival at Delhi Airport.
The Boeing 737 (VT-SYE) was disinfected before being released for next flight. The crew has been quarantined at their homes to keep a check on their health. Airport officials say all other passengers were screened and none of them was found to be sick.
“On Thursday, a passenger travelling on SpiceJet flight SG-88 operating between Bangkok and Delhi was suspected of coronavirus infection. He was seated on seat number 31F and was the only passenger in that row. The said passenger was quarantined by Airport Health Organisation (APHO) after landing in Delhi,” said a SpiceJet Spokesperson.
