CISF detects flyer from Ethiopia at Delhi Airport with 3.4 kg heroin worth Rs 15 crore

New Delhi: In a major drug haul, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) found 3.4 kg heroin worth Rs 15 crore in the international market in the baggage of a passenger at Delhi Airport Wednesday who had arrived from Ethiopia. The passenger has been handed over to customs.

“On Wednesday morning, CISF constable Manoj Kumar saw a passenger behave suspiciously in the departure area of Delhi IGI Airport’s T3 and he was kept under surveillance. The passenger, later identified as Justine Du Toit, a South African, had arrived Delhi from Addis Ababa by Ethiopian Airlines and further bound for Kolkata on Air India. He was diverted for random screening os bags where during scanning a false cavity was noticed in the trolley bag which was found containing some off-white powdery and granular substance,” said a CISF official.
