13,456 passengers arrive in Mumbai via 82 flights under Vande Bharat Mission: Maharashtra Govt

The Maharashtra Government has informed that 13,456 passengers have arrived in Mumbai via 82 flights under the Vande Bharat Mission so far. Out of these, 4,989 are the residents of Mumbai, whereas, 4,364 are from other parts of the state and 4,103 from other states. A statement from the Chief Minister’s Office said that an additional 76 flights are expected to bring more stranded passengers back to India by the end of this month.

So far, citizens stuck in 38 foreign countries, including those in Europe, America, Gulf region and Asia have been brought back. All the passengers have to compulsorily remain in institutional quarantine, either in Mumbai or in their respective district centres. Citizens from other states are accommodated in Mumbai until their travel passes and other necessary documentation is completed.
