Passenger suffers epileptic attack at Chennai airport, refused travel

Chennai: A 36-year-old man, who was among the 93 passengers on board the Thiruvananthapuram – bound Indigo Airlines flight, was refused to board the aircraft after he suffered an epileptic attack at the airport here on Wednesday.

Airport sources, the passenger, a native of Kerala, was refused to go-ahead with the journey citing rule books.

During check-in, the passenger suddenly fell unconscious. He was taken to a hospital in the airport where doctors said he suffered an epileptic attack.

He regained consciousness a little later and came for the security checks stating that he would go to his native state and take treatment.

By the time he came, the security checks of all the passengers had been completed and that those suffering from epileptic attack could not be allowed to travel alone.
