Ahmedabad: Three loaders of Indigo Airlines were arrested for stealing Rs 32,000 in cash from the baggage of a passenger who arrived from Delhi on Thursday afternoon.
The Airport Police arrested Gaurang Rana, a 25-year old resident of Sardarnagar, and two others Nitin Gujjar, 30, and Vijay Alikha in connection with the case.
According to a complaint filed by Indigo Flight Airport Manager Safar Hemnani, 36, a female passenger by the name of Nidhi arrived on an Indigo flight from Delhi. The plane landed around 1.36 pm on Thursday. “Nidhi collected her checking baggage from belt 1. However, she realized that the ziplock was open. She immediately went to the washroom, checked the bag and realized that some cash missing. She registered a complaint with customer service executive Ramvirsinh Rajput,” the complaint stated.
