Kannur: Air Customs sleuths on Friday seized 1867 grams of gold valued around Rs 92 lakh from a passenger who arrived at Kannur International Airport from Muscat in an Air India flight.
Customs Joint Commissioner S Kishore-led team detained Asharaf of Chekkikulam near Kannur town in this connection.
The seized gold was concealed inside emergency lights, Customs sources said.
