Summons issued to Vijay Sethupathi after Maha Gandhi files complaint over Bengaluru airport brawl

Mumbai: Saidapet Metropolitan Court in Chennai has issued summons to Vijay Sethupathi and his manager Johnson based on a complaint filed by Maha Gandhi. The latter had alleged that he was attacked by Vijay's team.

On November 2, when Vijay Sethupathi was returning to Chennai from Delhi after receiving the National award, a brawl broke out between his team and Maha Gandhi. In fact, a video of Maha Gandhi trying to jump over while trying to attack Vijay inside the airport went viral. However, no complaints were filed by either team then.

However, Maha Gandhi later stated that when he tried to congratulate Vijay Sethupathi, the latter spoke to him in a sarcastic manner. This escalated the situation. Maha Gandhi then filed a complaint stating that he was attacked outside the Bengaluru airport by Johnson.

Summons have been issued to Vijay Sethupathi and Johnson. The hearing will take place on January 2.
