Kerala gold smuggling case: Swapna Suresh says will cooperate with probe as ED issues summons

Thiruvananthpuram: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned the key accused in a gold smuggling case, Swapna Suresh. She has been asked to appear before them on Wednesday. The summons was sent out on Monday. She has also been asked to furnish some documents.

Swapna was asked to appear in person or through a representative on the day. The summons comes in the wake of Swapna’s allegations against M Sivasankar, former principal secretary to the chief minister and an accused in the case.

Swapna Suresh has said that she will repeat whatever she revealed to the media to any investigation agency. "I have not received the notice yet. There are some technical issues with my email account. I do not know why I am being summoned but I will respond frankly to any and all questions. I am not afraid of anyone," said Swapna Suresh.
