Jaipur: Man hiding gold buttons in mouth held at airport

Jaipur: The customs officials at the Jaipur International Airport arrested a man who was smuggling gold buttons worth Rs 5.79 lakh on Wednesday.

The accused was reportedly carrying the gold buttons inside his mouth.

The accused, who was arriving at Jaipur International Airport from Dubai, has been arrested under Section 104 of the Customs Act.

As per the report published by the Times of India (TOI), Assistant Commissioner of Jaipur airport, BB Atal, revealed that there was no sound made by the metal during the security check.

"We checked all his clothes, but still the beep didn’t stop. So, we did a thorough checking and found two gold buttons in his mouth hidden. He was detained," he added.

The accused was taken to a nearby government hospital and medical tests were done.
