Dharwad: People who were upset with the withdrawal of several air services from Belagavi airport to Pune and other cities in the country were relieved when IndiGo announced that it will start air service from Hubballi to Pune from February 4 and the service will be available twice a week-on Saturday and Sunday.
The first flight on Saturday (February 4) was full and people were elated with the prospect of reaching Pune within an hour. However, those who had booked tickets for the Hubballi-Pune direct flight for coming Saturday were disappointed when they received a message from IndiGo saying there is a change in the itinerary due to ‘operational reasons’.
The airlines said the itinerary had been revised. According to the original schedule, the flight was to leave Hubballi at 6.30pm and reach Pune at 19.35pm. The revised schedule says the flight will leave Hubballi on Saturday at 7.50am and reach Hyderabad at 9.25am. It will leave Hyderabad at 4.20pm and reach Pune at 5.25pm.
IndiGo has given the passengers an option to either accept the changed itinerary or to cancel the booking promising full refund at no cost.
