Hyxderabad: Passengers travelling on board a Kolkata-Hyderabad flight on Thursday had anxious moments when the pilot was unable to land the aircraft and diverted to Bengaluru.
The IndiGo flight 6E 6528, which departed Kolkata at around 9pm on August 31, 2023, was scheduled to land in Hyderabad at 11pm but touched down at Bengaluru past midnight causing inconvenience to passengers. Passengers complained that the pilot tried to land the airplane twice but had to pull back at the last minute for some reason.
"They did not give any indication about the problem. Till 11.45 pm they were flying over Hyderabad airport and the captain announced that due to technical issue they were diverting to Bengaluru," said a passenger. "We were brought back at 3am," fumed Anil Reddy Vennam, vice president-south, All India Plastics Manufacturers' Association.
