New Delhi: The timely action of a Vistara air hostess recently helped save a two-year-old's life at the Mumbai airport. Kessang Bhutia was at the boarding gate of Mumbai Airport, waiting for the incoming aircraft that wad to operate as UK 986 to Delhi on September 18, 2023 when she heard a group of passengers crying out loudly. She quickly sprung into action upon finding that a child was unresponsive.
"She saw from a distance that a child was unresponsive and breathless. She immediately paged for a doctor and then without wasting any time, with the help of another crew member, gave CPR to the child. They were successful in saving the baby's life," said an airline official.
Meanwhile, doctors arrived and took the baby for further treatment. "The child is doing well now. Her mother gave us the good news," said the official.
