Vistara on Sunday announced direct flights between Delhi to Maldives’ capital Male, while Air India said it will start non-stop services between Kochi and Doha from October 23. Both airlines are a part of the Tata Group.
In the announcement, Vistara CEO Vinod Kannan said that this flight is in addition to the “7x weekly service between Mumbai and Male” which he claimed is getting a “very good” response since its launch in March 2021. “We are pleased to introduce our second route connecting this exquisite beach destination with Delhi,” he added.
In another release, Air India said its daily non-stop service between Kochi and Doha will commence on October 23. The flight will offer 162 seats, including 150 economy and 12 business class seats. Air India operates a direct daily flight from Kochi to Dubai. The airline has launched a limited-period sale that offers attractive fares on all India-US routes. It operates 47 non-stop flights per week from Delhi, Bengaluru, and Mumbai to New York, Newark (New Jersey), Washington DC, Chicago, and San Francisco.
Last month, Russian carrier Aeroflot resumed direct flights from Moscow to Delhi and Goa starting September 30.
