Visakhapatnam: Running of ATR flights was partially restored in the airport here today, two days after a Paramount Airways aircraft overshot the runway, forcing cancellation of all flights from the port city.
However, big flights have been cancelled for the third consecutive day today.
Visakhpatnam Airport Controller C Pattabhi told UNI here that Paramount's Embraer flight, which got stuck at the end of the runway, would be completely removed by this evening. Naval help had been sought for the purpose.
A technical team from Hyderabad arrived here and inspected the runway. The team also went into how the incident happened.
