Patna: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) for setting up a cargo complex at the Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport in the city.
According to the MoU details, a joint venture company would be floated which will undertake the complex development work. Representatives of both AAI and the state government would be members of the joint venture.
Giving details, AAI Patna director Atul Dikshit said on Monday the immediate aim of developing the cargo complex was to provide better opportunity to the agricultural producers. Dikshit said the cargo complex would also be of great use in case industrial scenario improved in the state.
