New Delhi: Air India and Gati, an express distribution and supply chain solution company, have joined hands to launch a dedicated freighter service. At a function here, Air India had handed over a dedicated Boeing 737 aircraft to Gati that would be used to operate daily cargo flights on the Delhi-Mumbai-Bangalore-Delhi sector.
The aircraft is the first of the five aircraft that Air India would be providing to Gati. While officials were tight lipped on the financial aspects of the tie-up between Gati and Air India, they did say that the remaining four aircraft would be provided to Gati by the middle of next year.
