Letter to Das Munshi over Cooch Behar airport issue

Cooch Behar: The chairman of the Cooch Behar municipality, Mr Biren Kundu sent a letter to the Union information and broadcasting and parliamentary affairs minister, Mr Priya Ranjan Das Munsi, today reminding him of his promise over the Cooch Behar airport issue.
Mr Das Munsi, had announced that the Cooch Behar airport would resume its operations after the Gujarat election.
In the presence of Mr Das Munsi, an AICC member, Ms Sabita Roy, and Mr Kundu, proposed that the airport should be named after the last king of Cooch Behar's royal dynasty, Maharaja Jagaddipendra Narayan.
Mr Das Munsi had then assured that he would take up the matter with the Union civil aviation minister, Mr Praful Patel. He, however, mentioned that there are several formalities which have to be fulfilled at both the state and the Central levels as far as the naming of airports and railway stations is concerned.
